Gucciardi studied at the Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy from 1998 to 2002. He became an assistant drawing instructor from 2000 to 2002, as well as teaching summer workshops at the Academy in figure, landscape and portrait painting. Gucciardi has also taught at The Florence Design Academy and the Scuola Internazionale di Comics in Florence, Italy.
